Pizza Hut - Hot Dog Stuffed Crust

I’m almost kind of embarrassed for this post.  Actually, screw that, no I’m not.  If you read this blog you know how I feel about chain pizza.

So, Pizza Hut has put out this hot dog stuffed crust pizza on a limited run in Canada.  It’s likely close to over at this point so if you want one... hurry!  It's exactly what it sounds like - a stuffed crust pie but rather than cheese its a hot dog. 

So here's the deal, 90% of people who see it or hear about it react with the same "ew gross" comment.  Seriously, you're the worst.  You are the most boring kind of people.  Let me preface this by saying I eat well.  I don't buy new things often and I live relatively modestly but I spend a lot more on good food and drinks than I should.  That being said, I love a good crap meal sometimes - and this is right up there.  If you ever had piggies in a blanket as a kid, you know they are the best thing ever (and if you didn't you need to call your mom or dad and tell them they unknowingly ruined your childhood).  Now attach a piggie in a blanket, with dough rather than pastry, to a pizza and that's what this is.  If you think that's gross I don't think I'd get along with you in real life.

My only qualm is the fact that they created a spice blend for the hot dog that tries to give the illusion that it's of a higher quality.  And I believe the print ads tell that it's "succulent".  Listen Pizza Hut, I ain't no dummy.  I'm well aware I'm eating a piece of processed dough, topped with processed meats and cheese and stuffed with a hot dog.  You don't need to spit in my face and tell me it's fancy.  It's not.  That being said it was absolutely glorious in the most "I hate myself for this but after that bottle of wine I feel ok about myself" kind of way. 

Pizza Hut, if you're reading this, I know I give you a hard time but honestly I love you.  Please keep doing dumb (but brilliant) things and honestly - give me some free pizza.  I deserve it for unabashedly hocking your products.
