As any good Torontonian has I’ve been going to the EX for most of my life. I stopped during my “too cool for this” teenage years but I’ve had the spark reignited by my girlfriend in the last couple of years. Being a fat kid at heart the food building is one of my favourite places. While it’s been there at least a few years (maybe longer, I’m not sure) I stumbled (literally, we spent an hour or two too long at the Craft Brew tent) across Mamma’s Pepperoni Pizza on a stick. I had to try it!
I won’t get too wordy with this “review”. Unlike the other slices available these look to be baked individually. I assume its one thin slice shaped dough they fold over one of those paint stir sticks and throw in the oven. I liked that the dough was super fluffy and chewy. Outside of that it is what it is. Cheap sauce, cheap cheese, cheap pepperoni. But you know what… I loved it! Couple drinks deep, hungry from a day of walking, poor from a day of spending… what could be better than a cheap and dirty slice that comes on a stick! You’ll have to wait another year but… dooooo iiiiiit!
